Orienteering
trail -
this is
a bit like a treasure hunt, finding marker posts in the park
by using a map with clues. There is no set route so
you have to figure out the best way round yourself. It
makes you walk round parts of the park that you would not
normally see, is great fun and interesting. Everyone
welcome - a great family event for all ages. Maps
(small fee) available from Black Park offices or pay
online and posted to you.

The 'Friends of Langley
Park' group objectives include:
-
To help conserve and
enhance the parkland and reverse its current decline.
-
To help provide
opportunities for everyone to enjoy the benefits of the park.
-
To act as a sounding board
for new ideas, activities and developments in the park (including the
Heritage Lottery Fund project).
-
To act as ambassadors to
help promote the benefits of Langley Park.
The aim of the Group is to
achieve these objectives by running events and
activities in the park, marketing and securing funding for projects, and
purchasing tools for conservation work. The
Group will also become involved in supporting and promoting events and
activities within the HLF Project and Bucks Country Parks.
The
Restoration Project
The
Heritage Lottery Fund
has been awarded to help undertake vital work needed to support the
restoration
of Langley Park, with a view to a further possible award being made in due
course. Specialists have been brought in to undertake various surveys of the
Park.
